Naturally, I dont really like burgers. So i rarely go to burger places. A FRIEND recommended this to us and I can say, this was the Best burger I ever had in Netherlands. The Beef royal with truffle Spicy Fries Forest Fruit milkshake . I'm still having a flavor hangover

We were super hungry after walking around Amsterdam all day and we stumbled upon this place. I had a lamb burger, which was very good, and the fries were nice and crispy. And a good local beer as well. Oh, and they had a restroom which was nice. Because I didn't notice a lot of public restrooms around and I really had to pee!

Stopped for a quick lunch at Burgermeester on Elangracht in the Jordaan District recently and enjoyed our burgers. Opening hours are 12pm to 11pm daily. Arrived shortly after opening during the middle of the week. There were few other people so no problem finding a seat inside. There is indoor and outdoor seating at this Burgermeester. Menu expectedly features a handful of burgers, extra toppings and sides. You can order regular size burger, mini sized or a a mini-trio if you want to sample a few different burger types. On the occasion we had a mini Spanish lamb burger that was very good. Minced lamb was seasoned and grilled well, chorizo, jalepeno and other toppings were tasty. We also much enjoyed the regular cheeseburger with jalepenos. Similarly, everything was fresh and tasted nice. Burgermeester bakes buns fresh each day, they are are firm, a bit like a toasted bun, holding everything together nicely without becoming soggy. In the end, these were good burgers, something we'd seek out again when in the mood for a burger lunch in this area of city.
